20th Century Insurance Co. in Woodland Hills said it has promoted William L. Mellick to group vice president of operations.

Mellick, 47, will oversee the auto and home insurance company’s marketing, underwriting, policy services and accounting operations. Before joining 20th Century in 1979, Mellick was vice president of underwriting at National American Insurance Co. in Lakewood.
