Flamemaster Corp. has elected Marvin B. Smith Sr. executive vice president and a director of the Sun Valley producer of specialty coatings and sealants.

Smith previously was president and chief executive of Goal Chemical Corp. until June, when the company was acquired by Products Research & Chemical Corp., a Flamemaster competitor in Glendale.
