Jury Selection
I admire Judge Richard Berry’s courage in suggesting cost and time-saving procedural changes in the selection of juries (letter, March 6). Trial lawyers who are paid stiff hourly rates are probably gnashing their teeth, facing the loss of all that sit-around-and-wait time.
The lawyers’ gravy train that passes as the legal system is becoming more wasteful and less effective every year.
