Pomona : Cal Poly Gets $2.7 Million
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Mich., has awarded Cal Poly Pomona a $2.7-million grant to build an Institute for Regenerative Studies.
The institute will include facilities to study low-technology food production, waste disposal and recycling of natural and artificial resources. The estimated cost of the entire project is $5.9 million. The California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, program will house about 90 students and faculty.
