Five Las Vegas used car salesmen who on a whim invested $50 in California’s Lotto 6/49 game won the $7.3-million jackpot in last Saturday’s drawing and will buy--you guessed it--new cars.

“Everybody’s out picking out their dream car,” Ted Dourbet, owner of Car Sultan Auto Sales, said Thursday afternoon.

Officials at California Lottery headquarters in Sacramento confirmed that the salesmen were the winners of the March 18 jackpot.

Dourbet, 35, said he and his four salesmen were returning from an auto auction in Anaheim when they bought the winning ticket in Victorville, Calif. He identified the four salesmen as Lance Hoffman, Ken Kirby, Chester Williams and Phil Phillips.
