Alpharel Posts 4th-Quarter Loss of $2.1 Million

Alpharel, the struggling Camarillo maker of computer data-storage devices, said it lost $2.1 million for the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31, compared to a loss of $9.4 million for the same period a year earlier. Revenue was up 68% to $2.4 million from $1.4 million.

For the year that ended Dec. 31, Alpharel posted a $10.6 million loss on revenue of $5.4 million. A year earlier, the company lost $9.6 million on revenue of $12.1 million.
