State Trooper, Woman Killed by Gunman

A gunman killed a state trooper and a woman he was interviewing in his cruiser Friday, then turned the gun on himself, state police said.

The trooper and the woman were both dead at the scene, said trooper Randy Nichols, a state police spokesman. Neither was immediately identified. The gunman was taken to a hospital in undetermined condition.
