Yaroslavsky’s Reelection Bid

Share

Who was it who said that the predominately white, Jewish area (of District 5) is tailor-made for Councilman Yaroslavsky? Do Jewish people only vote for Jewish people? What has a person’s religion got to do with the way he votes? My little bedroom community of Cheviot Hills, with Zev as its councilman, has become a disaster area. Pico Boulevard is like one big parking lot. The gridlock around the Westside Pavilion is dreadful; and there is more to come with new buildings going up on the southwest corner of Westwood and Pico as well as the northeast corner, plus a bridge over Westwood Boulevard to further destroy the environment.

The proliferation of hotels and office buildings in Century City is nonstop. Access to the freeways, with the additional population density, is making residential streets seem like the freeways themselves.

Vote for Yaroslavsky? I should say not. Even though I am white and Jewish, Yaroslavsky doesn’t have my best interests at heart. After all, I’m not a builder and I don’t fill his coffers with money for further forays into politics.
