Golden Nugget Inc.: Citing interest costs on its new $550-million Las Vegas resort, the company said it lost $7.6 million in 1988, contrasted with earnings of $137.5 million in 1987, when it benefited from the sale of its Atlantic City, N.J., hotel-casino. Revenue was $175 million, down 10% from in 1987. The Las Vegas company said $36.7 million in non-operating expenses, and losing a lawsuit that cost it $8.5 million, more than offset operating income of $33.9 million for the year.
