‘Vision of One World’
Hardin writes, “Since 1945 several of the world’s nations have split, but none have combined.” In fact, the United Arab Emirates was formed in 1971 by the union of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujeira, Sharjah, and Omm al Qiwain. Ras al Khaima joined in 1972. Tanganyika and Zanzibar joined in 1964 to form the United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, subsequently called Tanzania. Both marriages seem to be happy ones.
