Memories of a Great, Great Moment

With all the terrible things going on in our world today, I cannot feel sympathetic toward the graduating students of CSUN who complain about their upcoming graduation ceremonies at the Hollywood Bowl.

So what if they must be limited to three guests? Were there no restrictions on the number to their high school graduations? Can’t they share tickets with friends who won’t be using all three? What do they want--100,000 seats at the Rose Bowl? Do they REALLY want to sit through 4,650 handshakes? Can’t they be satisfied with the more personal attention they will get at the smaller receptions to be given by their own academic departments?

What’s wrong with the Hollywood Bowl? Our UCLA class of ’50 held its ceremonies there. It was lovely!
