Highland Federal
There was a notable omission in the article on “Slum Sleuths” written by your reporter Joel Sappell (Metro, April 2).
He refers to a civil trial involving Highland Federal Savings and Loan on a property that the reporter himself stated “was not a slum building.”
What was left out of the article is that the jury by a unanimous vote decided the case in favor of Highland Federal, determining that Highland Federal did not engage in any conspiracy to defraud.
I felt it was important to make this correction to verify that Highland Federal operates in an ethical manner in all of its business activity.
