Frank Fredericks of Brigham Young outfinished USC freshman Quincy Watts to win both sprints in the USC Centennial Invitational track meet Saturday at Cromwell Field.
Fredericks was clocked in 10.39 seconds in the 100 meters and in a hand-timed 20.5 in the 200, while Watts ran 10.62 and 20.7.
USC’s Michelle Taylor won the women’s 200 and 400 meters and anchored both winning relay teams as the Trojan women beat BYU in a meet that was decided by the final event--the 1,600-meter relay.
