Fire Aboard Boat Delays Nuclear Reactor Disposal

PORTLAND, Ore. —
A fire aboard a tugboat Tuesday briefly halted the Columbia River barge trip of a decommissioned nuclear reactor bound for burial at the Hanford nuclear reservation in Washington state, U.S. Coast Guard officials said. No injuries were reported.
