A Staten Island, N.Y., woman who gave birth to a girl in the restroom of a United Airlines DC-10 and left the infant under a lavatory sink pleaded not guilty to child endangerment charges at a court hearing in Redwood City. Superior Court Judge Margaret Kemp set a June 5 trial date for Christina LoCasto, 24. San Mateo County Assistant Dist. Atty. Steven Wagstaffe said LoCasto gave birth to the baby, Alyssa, while the jetliner was on the ground at Newark airport and left without the child when the plane landed in San Francisco.
