Intercultural Etiquette

Being a foreign student, I am very much enlightened by the new insights shown in the article of this pluralistic society of America. It is amazing to learn that many Americans are still ignorant of the cultures of different ethnic groups. Making personal remarks such as “Are you Japanese, Chinese or what?” is indeed very offensive to Asian-Americans.

More articles like this should be published as racial violence often arises because of ignorance in cultural behaviors. The written word is a step to creating a more racially harmonious society, making America a safer place for everyone to live in.
