WIESBADEN, West Germany —
A radio bomb confiscated from suspected Palestinian terrorists exploded at federal police headquarters today as experts tried to defuse it, killing one officer and critically injuring another.
A similar bomb disguised as a radio is believed to have caused the explosion that blew Pan Am Flight 103 out of the sky Dec. 21 over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 270 people.
The blast occurred in a basement room of the federal police headquarters, spokeswoman Brunhilde Spies-Mohr said.
