Israeli Troops Shoot, Wound 25 Palestinians in Gaza Strip
Israeli troops today shot and wounded 25 Palestinians, including two 6-year-old children, in some of the fiercest clashes in the occupied Gaza Strip this year, hospital officials said.
Police in Jerusalem using a robot safely detonated a bomb on the main shopping street, planted during peak shopping hours on the eve of the seven-day Jewish Passover holiday.
They rounded up several Arab suspects.
In Gaza City and other areas of the teeming coastal strip, youths burned tires and barricaded roads from early morning, apparently responding to a call by the Islamic Resistance Movement known as Hamas (Zeal) for a day of confrontation.
