Culver City : Traffic Analysis of Block
The Redevelopment Agency this week authorized the agency counsel to draw up an agreement for preparation of a traffic analysis of Higuera Street between Washington Boulevard and Lucerne Avenue.
The report is being prepared in conjunction with an agency-approved design for development of the block bounded by Washington Boulevard, Lindblade Street, Higuera Street and Ince Boulevard. Residents in the vicinity of the block urged the agency to do a traffic study in March during a discussion of the development plan.
The purpose of the study is to determine what effect development of the block would have on traffic in the area through the year 2005 if the block is developed to the maximum permitted by current zoning restrictions and all possible traffic remedies are in effect. The agreement approved by the agency calls for DKS Associates to prepare the traffic analysis report at a cost of no more than $15,260.
