John F. Combs has joined Fluor Corp. as vice president and treasurer; Robert L. Guyett, senior vice president and chief financial officer, had assumed the duties when the position became vacant about a year ago. Before joining Fluor, Combs spent 4 years as senior vice president, planning, analysis and consulting, with First Interstate Bank of California, Los Angeles. From 1975 to 1985, he worked for Inco Ltd., New York, where he held a series of positions in treasury, finance, planning and analysis, including assignments in Japan and Great Britain. Fluor, based in Irvine, is an engineering, construction and natural resources management company with investments in coal and lead.
