Caltech Lab Gets Grant to Study Ground Water
PASADENA —
Caltech has received a $300,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for research by the college’s Environmental Quality Laboratory on ground-water pollution problems. The goal of the 30-month project is to learn how to establish prevention procedures and remedial actions for control of ground-water pollution. This will be done by working with models that simulate the effects of artifical sources of ground-water contamination.
