Culver City : Jozelle Smith Elected Mayor
Culver City Councilwoman Jozelle Smith was elected mayor and Councilman Richard Alexander was elected vice mayor during the ceremonial rotation of political posts this week. Paul Jacobs, the outgoing mayor, was named chairman of the Redevelopment Agency and Councilman James Boulgarides vice chairman. Smith, 49, said she would be a “hands on” mayor during her one-year term.
