Meese on Crime Fighting
In response to Bruce Fein’s and Ed Meese’s column “Fighting Crime Effectively and Within Our Means,” Op-Ed Page, April 14:
Justice would be better served if Meese would take a job writing for the funny pages or a long and quiet retirement.
Funny, Meese did not mention the problems we have with white-collar criminal recidivists or corrupt government employee recidivists.
Funny, such buncombe and poppycock spewing forth from a man who was forced to resign as one of the most scandal-ridden and corrupt attorney generals in U.S. history.
What are the chances that E. Robert Wallach and the Wedtech bunch will receive 30 years in the slammer? Please turn off Meese’s spigot or next we’ll have Charles Manson’s column on how to deal with the Ivan Boeskys and Barry Minkows of our society.
