The state Labor Commissioner has ruled that Good Company Players, which has put on dinner theater in Fresno for nearly two decades, must begin paying its actors minimum wage. The theater’s director Dan Pessano says the theater group will appeal. Actor Mark Chenault filed an action with the state, claiming actors should receive the state minimum wage of $4.25. They are currently paid $6 per performance at Roger Rocka’s Music Hall, which features Broadway musicals, or at the Second Space, which puts on dramas and comedies. Good Company provides all actors for both theaters.
