The Los Angeles city attorney’s office has filed suit to force the owner of an Athens-area house where numerous drug arrests have been made to agree to strict conditions on the continued use of the dwelling.

The Superior Court suit, filed under the California Controlled Substances Abatement Act, alleges that 14 drug-related arrests have been made since February at the single-family dwelling at 10026 S. Harvard Blvd., which is owned by Charles W. Amos.

City Atty. James K. Hahn said he will ask Superior Court Judge Dzintra Janavs to issue a stipulated injunction, agreed to by Amos, that includes a ban on any further narcotics-related activities at the dwelling. The injunction also says that only Amos and immediate members of his family can live there.
