Commercial Scene : Work Under Way on Irvine Retail Complex

Construction has begun on the $9-million Brittany Square, a 32,600-square-foot retail complex at 2222 Michelson Drive in the Irvine Business Complex.
The project is expected to be completed in September and will have restaurants, retail shops, a dry cleaner and other service-oriented outlets. The Mediterranean-style complex is being developed by a joint venture of Irvine-based Halferty & DeBeikes and Orange-based Leeland Enterprises.
The complex is already 35% leased.
