Alpha Microsystems, Santa Ana, posted net income of $3.3 million for the fiscal year ended Feb. 26, nearly double the $1.7 million reported for fiscal 1988. Sales for fiscal 1989 rose 11%, to $51.6 million from $46.4 million. For the fourth quarter, net income increased 34%, to $1.2 million from $907,000 for the comparable period last year. Sales totaled $13.6 million, 9% higher than the $12.5 million for the 1988 fourth quarter. Robert B. Hitchcock, chairman and chief executive, said fiscal 1989 was one of the most successful for the company. Alpha Microsystems manufactures computer hardware and software products.
