Datron Systems’ Profit Up 16% in 4th Quarter

Datron Systems, a communications and defense-electronics concern in Simi Valley, said its fiscal fourth-quarter profit rose 16% from a year earlier on a 22% gain in sales.

In the quarter that ended March 31, Datron’s net income climbed to $1.07 million from $925,000, and sales rose to $11.6 million from $9.5 million. The latest profit was the highest for any quarter in the company’s history, Datron said.

For its full fiscal year, Datron’s profit jumped 52% to $3.47 million from $2.28 million the previous year. Its annual sales rose 15% to $37.2 million from $32.3 million.
