MAI Basic Four Inc. said that it expects a federal district court in Boston to lift an injunction barring its $1.3-billion hostile takeover bid for Prime Computer Inc.

Last month, a federal judge said he would lift the order 10 days after MAI mailed 1989 financial information of its investment bank, Drexel Burnham Lambert, to Prime stockholders. MAI said it mailed the requested information last Friday and therefore expects the injunction to be lifted on Monday.

Tustin-based MAI has been trying since last November to take control of Prime, a Natick, Mass., minicomputer company.
