WASHINGTON — President Bush will undergo a routine physical examination at nearby Bethesda Naval Hospital today, the White House announced Tuesday.
The examination, Bush’s first as President, will include a chest X-ray, hearing tests, an eye examination, an electrocardiogram, allergy tests, a urinalysis and a dermatology examination, a White House statement said.
The examination, expected to take about four hours, will be under the direction of Bush’s personal physician, Dr. Burton Lee.
Lee will conduct a “complete history and personal examination,” the statement said. It said that Lee had taken several blood samples earlier this week and that they “will be analyzed as part of the examination.”
