Klan Replaces Leader for Being Born a Jew
From Associated Press
JACKSON, Miss. —
A national Klan organization has replaced its Mississippi leader because he was born a Jew.
Jordan Gollub of Poplarville, deposed as leader of the Mississippi Christian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, said Wednesday that he would form his own klan organization.
Gollub, born in Philadelphia to Jewish parents, said he considers himself a Christian. Klan leader Virgil Griffin of Mt. Holly, N.C., said Gollub’s removal was “mostly concerned (with) his Jewish background.”
