Witt Is Selected Angel of the Week

Mike Witt, who pitched a five-hitter Saturday to beat the New York Yankees, 6-1, is The Times’ Orange County Edition Angel of the Week.

The victory evened Witt’s record at 3-3 and lowered his earned-run average to 3.84.

The Times will donate $200 in Witt’s name to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Orange County.
