Contractors Rip Pentagon Rules: Unnecessary Pentagon specifications have wasted taxpayers’ dollars, witnesses told the Senate Governmental Affairs subcommittee on oversight of government management. Contractors said strict Pentagon specifications for commercially available products, along with excessive requirements, have made them less than willing to deal with the Defense Department.
