Wai Szeto has been appointed vice president of engineering at AST Research Inc. in Irvine. In his new position, he will direct research and development programs on emerging personal computer systems technologies, computer enhancement boards and data communications products. Previously, Szeto was vice president of worldwide manufacturing for the company.
