P.M. BRIEFING : Union, National Steel OK Contract

PITTSBURGH —
The United Steelworkers and National Steel Corp., the nation’s sixth largest steelmaker, today reached tentative agreement on a 50-month contract that covers 7,300 workers at three plants in three Midwest states.
The economic terms of the agreement are comparable to those in a contract ratified Thursday by USW members employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp., the USW said.
