Mission Viejo : Elks Lodge Receives 5 Awards at Convention
Mission Viejo Elks Lodge 2444 received several awards for its youth programs and other services at the California/Hawaii Elks annual convention last weekend in San Jose.
Its youth programs received two awards, one of which cited it as the best overall among the 196 lodges in the association. The lodge was also honored for its public relations efforts, its Christmas Party for handicapped children and its membership drive.
The lodge contributed $9,000 to the association for scholarships, vision tests for preschool-age children and care of children with cerebral palsy.
