Israeli troops shot and killed a suspected guerrilla who opened fire from across the Jordan-Israel border and wounded two soldiers, the army command said. The attack occurred in an area 50 miles northeast of Jerusalem. Soldiers searched the area on the Jordanian side of the border and found the body of a guerrilla dressed in a military-type uniform and armed with a U.S.-made M-16 assault rifle, an army spokesman said. But in an official broadcast, Jordan said the man may have been a Jordanian army soldier who earlier disappeared from a border post.
