P.M. BRIEFING : 6 Energy Producers Incorporate

DENVER — Tri-State Generation and Transmission Assn. of Denver, along with five other generation and transmission cooperatives, have united to form Western Power Producers Inc., it was announced today.
The six WPPI members serve a total of 77 rural electric cooperatives and public power districts, which in turn serve about 1.9 million consumers.
Their service territories equal about 337,000 square miles in 10 states--Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
