FT. WORTH — Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. said it will lay off 150 employees Friday, including some working on the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor project that was cut from the fiscal 1990 budget by the government.
Company executives said the retrenchment will affect both union and non-union workers in practically all departments.
The latest action brings to 359 the number of employees cut by the company since last month. The company declined to say if any more layoffs are planned among the remaining 7,600 employees.
