Paramount : Harkema Takes Over Mayor’s Post

Under its annual City Council reorganization, Councilman Henry Harkema was elected mayor of Paramount and Manuel Gullien was chosen vice mayor. Both Harkema and Gullien were elected to the five-member council four years ago. Harkema, who was vice mayor last year, replaces outgoing mayor Charles Weldon.
