Speed Problem Seen as Black and White
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Undercover police officers in unmarked cars are going to be on the prowl for traffic law violators--police who speed.
Sheriff Jim McMillan said he has received complaints about officers speeding when there is no need. He said officers caught speeding or violating other traffic laws will need a good explanation, or face disciplinary action.
“We know police cars speed,” Chief John Gordon of the patrol and traffic division said. “If you’re lying on the street bleeding and waiting for an officer, you would want the officer to speed.”
