The Boys and Girls Club of Royal Oak, Mich., banished Petr Klima, Detroit Red Wings hockey player, for his latest arrest on drunk driving charges.

Klima, who had been performing 48 hours of community service because of a drunk driving arrest in February, spoke at the club on May 25 and warned about the dangers of drinking and driving.

“He’s not credible to the kids,” said Jack Salter, the club’s executive director. “He said one thing to the kids last week, and four days later he’s arrested. . . . We must set certain examples.”
