Airman Nathan J. Lee, 18, of El Cajon collapsed after physical training at Lowry Air Force Base on Wednesday and was pronounced dead after resuscitation efforts failed at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Denver, authorities said.
Base spokesman Lt. Col. George Titus said the physical training was routine, according to the Associated Press. Lee was enrolled in a weapons maintenance course. He would have graduated July 10.
