Suspended Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson said on an Italian quiz show that his training for a comeback is on schedule and he is taking aim at Carl Lewis in the 1992 Olympic Games.

“My form and my weight are the same as before,” Johnson said. “Also, my times are very good. I clocked a time of world level over 60 meters recently. I have high hopes that my position is cleared up. I’m looking forward to a comeback in September next year.”

He is scheduled to testify next week at a Canadian government inquiry into the steroid use that cost him the 100-meter gold medal in the Seoul Olympics last September.
