John Bailey has been replaced by award-winning documentary maker Richard Pearce as director of a civil rights film starring Sissy Spacek and Whoopi Goldberg that is being shot in Montgomery, Ala. “The Long Walk Home” was to be Bailey’s directorial debut, but that was derailed by “creative differences,” according to a spokesman for the film.”The Long Walk Home” is being financed by independent film producer New Visions Pictures with a budget of about $6 million.
