P. M. BRIEFING : Chrysler Orders Bucket-Seat Recall

DETROIT —
Chrysler Corp. said today it is recalling about 60,000 1985-model cars equipped with power-operated front bucket seats which could unexpectedly tilt back and cause loss of driver control.
Cars involved in the safety recall include 1985-model Dodge Daytona, 600 and Lancer cars, as well as the Chrysler Laser, LeBaron and LeBaron GTS models, the car maker said.
Company spokesman Lloyd Northard said Chrysler is aware of three minor accidents with no injuries, and reports of two minor injuries with no accidents.
