A funny thing happened to 10 prisoners on the way to another jail in Columbus, Ohio. They found a quick, easy way to use their seat belts to shear off their handcuffs. Authorities quickly dispatched word to law enforcement authorities across the country, warning of the possible danger. And were those smiling inmates rewarded for their Houdini-style feat? “Charge them with destruction of county property,” Smith told his deputies. “We’ll see how funny they think that is.”
