Systems Magnetic Co., a subsidiary of Hitachi Metals Ltd., has moved operations to San Diego from Anaheim. The company, which makes computer disk-drive components, recently opened a plant on Otay Mesa employing 90. The company expects to increase its payroll to 150 by next year.

Besides its San Diego employees, Systems Magnetic employs 175 at maquiladora in Tijuana.
