Transport Minister Loses His Job in Cuba

HAVANA — Diocles Torralbas, Cuba’s transport minister, has been removed from his job for “personal behavior,” the official newspaper Granma said Tuesday.
Diplomats said the phrasing could point to corruption.
Granma did not say whether Torralbas, who fought alongside President Fidel Castro in the rebel army before the 1959 revolution, was given another job. It said the Communist Party Politburo proposed the dismissal.
