Pacific Fleet Marine Chief

President Bush has nominated Maj. Gen. Robert F. Milligan of the Marine Corps for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as commanding general of the Pacific Fleet Marine Force. Milligan, commander of U.S. forces in the Caribbean, would replace Lt. Gen. Edwin J. Godfrey, who plans to retire.
